This short course is aimed at teachers who would like to look at strategies for helping young learners, aged 6 and over, build the basic conversation skills needed for a Trinity College London Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE).
The overall aims are:
- to gain a deeper insight into the tasks in Trinity's initial stage exams (GESE 1,2,3)
- to experiment activities suited to developing the skills learner's need
- to explore songs, stories, and games and related techniques in the classroom
- to investigate ways we assess speaking and interactive listening in the young learner classroom.
