This short course is aimed at teachers who would like to look at strategies for helping young learners, aged 6 and over, learn English while preparing them for a Trinity College London Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE).
The overall aims are:
- to consider the why, the how, and the what of teaching English to Young learners
- to experiment activities suited to young learners in your own context
- to explore songs, chants, and rhymes and related techniques in the classroom
- to investigate ways we assess speaking and interactive listening in the young learner classroom.
