Trinity recognizes the demand for CLIL teachers to display language proficiency and competence in order to access the CLIL specialization courses. Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English (ISE) qualification meets these demands by encouraging the development of language skills in addition to soft and transferable skills.
ISE is a contemporary multi-skills language exam suitable for teachers who require a respected English language qualification.

The departmental decree n. 1511 of 23 June 2022 has outlined the features that characterize the specialization courses for becoming a CLIL teacher.
These courses are open to:
- teachers in service at kindergarten and primary schools;
- teachers of non-linguistic subjects in service at lower and upper secondary schools.

In order to access the CLIL specialization courses teachers are required to have at least a certified B2 level in the target language of the CLIL courses offered by their school.

In this online workshop, we will show snapshots from the ISE exam and highlight opportunities for teachers to engage in CLIL with some hands-on activities that can help develop key competences, while preparing for a successful performance in the exam.
