Descrizione
Many teachers feel that speaking is the most challenging skill to teach: pupils are shy, reluctant, unevenly prepared, and often anxious about assessment. At the same time, schools are increasingly asked to demonstrate clear progression, vertical continuity, and measurable outcomes, particularly in relation to the Trinity Pathway.
This 4-hour practical workshop responds directly to these needs. It offers primary and lower secondary English teachers concrete tools to make speaking teachable, assessable, and motivating, while ensuring continuity across school stages.
Starting from the Trinity diagnostic approach, participants will explore how everyday classroom activities can be aligned with the Trinity pathway, gradually preparing learners for successfulspoken interaction without “teaching to the test.” Through hands-on activities, bridging tasks, and adaptable speaking routines, teachers will see how oracy can become a shared language between primary and middle school, reducing repetition, gaps, and student frustration.
This is not a theoretical lesson: it is a toolbox for teachers who want students to speak more, with confidence, and with clear progress—even when motivation is low.
