Workshop delle 10:00

I - GESE Grades 1,2,3 (2-skill examination Speaking & Listening) at CEFR level pre-A1, A1, A2.1
Teachers often claim that there is an increased need for engaging activities able to promote motivation and language development in the young learner classroom. In this interactive workshop, we will use innovative teaching ideas that require learners to be active participants, such as cooperative learning, role plays and more. Participants will leave the workshop with a number of teaching ideas that will allow their young learners to experience language in a fun and motivational way, as well as help prepare them for successful performance in an internationally recognised exam.
II - GESE Grades 2,3,4 (2-skill examination Speaking & Listening) at CEFR level A1, A2.1, A2.2
Learners of English like to know that they are progressing and that the language they have learned can be used in real-life situations. This teacher training workshop will focus on building confidence and motivation in English language communication, through a variety of innovative teaching ideas including CLIL-compatible tasks. Participants will engage in cooperative learning activities, all designed to maximise speaking opportunities while also preparing learners for successful performance in Trinity GESE grades 2,3, and 4 exams.
III - GESE Grades 4,5,6 (2-skill examination Speaking & Listening) at CEFR level A2.2, B1.1, B1.2
In this hands-on teacher training workshop, we will highlight opportunities for teachers to engage learners in thinking skills that can help develop key competences conducive to success in their English learning journey. Participants will experiment with a number of practical real-life tasks designed to engage learners in the contemporary classroom and support English language learning aims and objectives at CEFR levels A2 and B1. Most tasks and activities are compatible with a CLIL programme and will also serve for preparing students for successful performance in Trinity exams GESE Grades 4,5, & 6.
IV - ISE I (4-skill examination Speaking, Listening, Reading & Writing) at CEFR level B1
In this workshop we will explore innovative teaching approaches for developing learners’ 4 skills, speaking, listening, reading and writing through an integrated approach offering a fresh take on communicative language teaching. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment hands-on activities that are both suitable for the classroom, as well as for preparing students for Trinity’s Integrated Skills in English Examination which assess and promote the skills needed for effective communication in real life.
V - ISE F (4-skill examination Speaking, Listening, Reading & Writing) at CEFR level A2
In this workshop participants will be invited to a hands-on experience on how to develop engaging, relevant and memorable activities that serve as innovative approaches of targeting language skills development in the context of 21st Century skills. This workshop also considers how to bring innovative approaches to Trinity preparation, so that elements of test preparation can be covered in groups and at home, in order to make best use of classroom time.

Workshop delle 14:30

VI - Trinity Stars: Young Performers in English Awards
Young children have a natural inclination for make-believe and they love to role-play and make up imaginary worlds. This workshop will look at how language, in all its richness, is approached through the imagined and physical world of drama. With reference to Trinity Stars, participants will also be invited to experiment drama activities that create an active learning environment where young learners can discover more about themselves, about others and the worlds in which they live.
VII - GESE Grades 4,5,6 (2-skill examination Speaking & Listening) at CEFR level A2.2, B1.1, B1.2
Life as a teenager has been digitally updated, our challenge as teachers is to find creative and effective ways to engage learners in language learning. In this workshop we will be looking at ways in which old-time favourite activities and traditional materials can be adapted to appeal to the digital native learner. Throughout the workshop, participants will be invited to experiment practical ideas and activities that enable learners to develop communicative competence while also preparing for Trinity’s GESE exams Grades 4, 5 and 6.
VIII - GESE Grades 7,8,9 (2-skill examination Speaking & Listening) at CEFR level B2.1, B2.2, B2.3
Giving each and every learner the opportunity to discover their voice creates a positive framework for pupils to play an active role within class. As a way to privilege speaking and listening, this workshop will provide insights into innovative and creative teaching ideas which are designed to increase students’ communicative effectiveness and to support them in becoming more independent users of English. It particularly focuses on their interactive and collaborative potential in both performance-based language learning and assessment.
IX repeat – ISE I (4-skill examination Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing) at CEFR level B1
Repeat workshop IV
X - ISE II (4-skill examination Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing) at CEFR level B2
Changes in society, cultural developments and the widespread use of modern media have led to an increasing number and variety of teaching approaches. This workshop offers a fresh take on communicative language teaching. Participants will explore the skills required at this level and experiment with a number of practical real-life tasks that have been designed to engage learners in the contemporary classroom and improve performance in all the 4 skills. Reference will be made to the Trinity ISE II exam throughout the workshop.
