Raccolta fondi promossa dal Trinity College London per l'Abruzzo

Vogliamo essere vicini, come sempre, ai docenti e studenti delle scuole dell’Abruzzo danneggiate o distrutte dal terremoto del 6 aprile scorso.

Come referente nazionale, sono orgogliosa di poter dare inizio ad una raccolta fondi che parte già con uno stanziamento di 60.000 euro deciso dalla direzione londinese.

Il Trinity College London, presente in numerosissime scuole abruzzesi, è un ente senza scopo di lucro, la cui missione è quella di favorire l’istruzione e la cultura.

La raccolta verrà destinata ad iniziative, materiali, attrezzature ed attività che possano aiutare docenti e studenti a proseguire il loro percorso di insegnamento / apprendimento della lingua inglese.

Ci auguriamo che siano numerosi i centri Trinity più fortunati, disponibili ad incrementere la cifra di partenza.

All of the staff and examiners at Trinity College London were shocked at the news of the devastating earthquake which hit the Abruzzo region this month. Trinity has been been working closely with schools throughout Abruzzo for many years and we share the horror felt by our Italian friends and colleagues at the impact and scale of this disaster.

Trinity College London has a charitable mission to further education and we are aware of the effects of this earthquake on the education of many of the young people in Abruzzo. We also know that Trinity exam centres throughout Italy are keen to help their colleagues who have seen their schools damaged and their students' education disrupted. We have therefore launched an appeal which will help the schools, English teachers and students in the most affected areas.

To start this appeal, Trinity is donating 60,000 euro to the fund and we would like to invite our exam centres and other donors to join us in doing what we can to help during these very difficult times.
